Temple of Cosmos examines a meticulous site located on top of Fall Creek Gorge in Ithaca, proposing a residence for two academics. Next to the site, astronomer Carl Sagan’s Egyptian Revival house that once was a temple for a secret society, influences a cosmic and terrestrial energy to the site. Temple of Cosmos explores the notions of compression and verticality by interpreting delicate forces -the deep gorge and the endless cosmos- as two distinct elements that work together, creating threshold spaces amid the chaotic nature of the surrounding ethereal atmosphere.
